Anyone who falls for this overselling bull crud deserves to lose their sites.

That's a general sales pitch, just like gmail using the almost unlimited free email service.

Thats definitely a good deal. If it would last long enough.

Yeah I understand that, but it's a hard comparison to make. With Gmail it is VERY difficult to use the space they give you so for 99.99% of people it doesn't make a difference. However with web hosting it's VERY easy to use up the bandwidth.

Simply getting on the front page of digg or some css site will crush it in an hour. Then what? Dreamhost will either ask you to pay for all the bandwidth or suspend your account.

They do a different promotion for any little holiday. I grabbed an account for their St. Patty's day blowout sale and when I checked back on Easter they had the same deal. Same deal on earth day as well. I wanted to see if they'd do it for 4-20 but I forgot to check that day. They will try to sell you their vps service once your site takes off. This happened to me a couple of years ago with them. I found a better deal for a private server at Ubiquity and moved my site over there with no problems. If anyone still wants this deal and can't wait until National Bologna Day, PM me for a coupon.
