Ok, let me clarify a bit here... a few early replies got my reference. I was referring to my 2nd birthday that I celebrate each year -

Today is the 123rd birthday of the Navy Chief Petty Officer - first awarded April 1st, 1893. For those that personally know me, it is a very proud day for me - because my membername OldSalt is in reference to my time 20+ years in the US Navy - and I was Tested, Selected and Initiated as a US Navy Chief a bit more than a decade ago.

So, that is what I was referring to... ;-)

and now I sit at home, lifting a tall glass of 'spirits' (sangria in this case) to my Brothers and Sisters in my 'Mess' (Chief's Mess).
