First, don't be depressed.

I have been like you once. Due to bad market condition, I once lost my business, with $700k of debt. Even with all of my assets (houses, cars, jewels, gold) sold I won't be able to pay those, but it's important to stay calm, be logical, and trust that you will be able to rise again.

Secondly, I would advise to find a job. I know that you can find money through IM, but it's difficult to put up great stuffs in just three weeks. My advice is to find job that requires less dedication so that you can also build your own IM empire. Start fixing up your CVs, and sent them out. I know that it's tough to get a job in three weeks, but you have to try. Accept lower salary jobs, you need to keep cash in hand. While waiting for interviews, if you are an IT engineer you also can start finding freelance jobs (just check it in Google, there are various freelance jobs). Some jobs are also available in BHW, in Hire a Freelance section. Try to contact your friends/families, if they got a job opening for you.

Third, while waiting for interview, start creating your IM business. Create a great sales letter, stating that you are expert in SEO, you can help this and this, and send them (in person if necessary) to small business in your area. Small business are more receptive to SEO partners. This is not you looking for a job, this a you starting up a business. You could also contact your families/friends, if they need a help from a SEO experts (but make sure that they pays).

Fourth, while doing all of above, continue to build your own site. Whatever the world throws on us, don't ever quit on your dream.

Fifth, although you are fired finish your job beautifully. Ask for recommendation, finish up works you have given, put up complete documentation, make sure that you depart the company in good terms. Ask you boss for recommendation letter, it's not really powerful, but it may help you.

Good luck, man! Stay strong.

P.S : During times of crises, people are more inclined to throw up their saving for some quick-get-rich scheme, because they are psychologically weaker due to their anxiety. Don't trust someone who may offers you credit without guarantee, treasures in Nigeria, or anything. Use logic, and if the deal is too good for you, it's probably because it's too good for you.

Good advice, but:

- He can't do Craigslist - he is in Austria! CL only for US citizens, but there are equivalent sites for Austria/Swiss/Germany.

- Donating blood & sperm: I tried it myself. Here in Europe it's not like the US. First, they ask you for long, long
medical examinations (even for blood donors - legistlation is though), then in Europe you only are allowed to donate very limited times and even than most countries don't pay money for it (they reimburse you for the trip to the facility like 8 € or so). EU law does not allow for people to get money for blood.

Sperm is even more difficult: clinical trials, then wait for 6 months to get approved, then show up for an interview and basically be some kind of NASA scientist, then get on a waiting list, then show up to rub one out and get MAX 300 €. F*** that! Keep your sperm or rub one out for free.

I think that due to the Euro strength right now it would be worth looking into Ebay arbitrage again: buy cheap in the US and re-sell for a margin in Austria (but not on Ebay - local listings). This will require a couple of days researching what sells well in Austria and how to get it cheaply abroad. I have tons of stuff from Alibaba that would sell wonderfully here in Europe (for big bucks) but unfortunately my country are assholes in regards to custom taxes (high import taxes).

Selling stuff on local ads is the fastest way I know to get your hands on cash (this is what I did in a slump)

Blackhatrael: that was very, very inspiring! Thank you for that.
