Hello, I have my eye on a niche but the domain is taken for the keyword, even with the hyphens added. So I have heard some rumblings that the search engine may recognize '2' as 'to' in some cases. If any truth to that I am considering buying the keyword with the number '2' in place of the 'to'.

I want but is taken
Ex: howtomakeanicequilt.kom


What I am thinking
Ex:how2makeanicequilt.kom

Will this work? Will it work even a little? Any feedback is most appreciated.

It would still be a better option than completely unrelated name. It might even give you "some" EMD benefit.

Yes, that is what I am after. How much emd do you think one would get from this technique.

Lets say I went with 'too' to replace the 'to' How does that work or not at all?

Not a good option. 2 would still be better as compared to "too". The word "too" will change the meaning of the phrase/name.

Any other opinions on using a '2' to replace the word 'to' in a domain name. I am hoping to keep emd or at least some as mountaineer pointed out. Any thoughts are very much appreciated.
