I am planning to buy VPS for running GSA ser. I have checked few sellers here in the hosting section. But I don't know which one has enough specifications to run 50-100 multiple threads in one go. For example, One seller has the following plans:

Lite VPS

  • CPU 1x3.4Ghz(i7)
  • RAM: 1GB (Guaranteed)
  • Storage: 30 GB
  • Bandwidth: 100 Mbps
  • Traffic: Unlimited

Advanced VPS

  • CPU 1x3.6 Ghz (i7)
  • RAM: 2GB (Guaranteed)
  • Storage: 60 GB
  • Bandwidth: 100 Mbps
  • Traffic: Unlimited

Pro VPS

  • CPU 2x3.6Ghz (i7)
  • RAM: 4GB (Guaranteed)
  • Storage: 115 GB
  • Bandwidth: 100 Mbps
  • Traffic: Unlimited

I am confused on one point:

* My own ISP has a data cap of 5 GB per month. So Can I use VPS for unlimited data usage as GSA would download 100's of sites to create backlinks which will consume 10's of GB's. OR VPS too has some sort of data cap per plan

Your inputs will decide me to buy a VPS.

I don't understand this

Code:
Bandwidth: 100 Mbps

100Mbps is speed, not bandwidth

Btw it's all depend on your needs, for me Lite VPS is enough. With it I can run GSA Ser + GSA CB without any problem. But I prefer 2 CPUs than 1 CPU

If you plan on running captcha breaker and gsa on the same server then the second option is your minimum setup for reasonable performance.

You need more than 1 GB RAM or it'll grind to a crawl.

Thanks for your advices. But my 2nd question is still unanswered:

"My own ISP has a data cap of 5 GB per month. So Can I use VPS for unlimited data usage as GSA would download 100's of sites to create backlinks which will consume 10's of GB's. OR VPS too has some sort of data cap per plan"

Some will have a cap some will not. Go with poweruphosting they have a cap of about 2TB.

Many VPS providers offer unlimited traffic/bandwidth so no need to care about your ISP data

I would say if you use SER+CB you need at least 4gb or you will get a lot of out of memory messages, i had 2gb ram when i started with thrustvps and noticed quickly that it wasn't enough by a long shot to run 100/150 threads, (that is the minimum for a decent LPM) don't sell yourself short when it comes to RAM, nothing is worst then seeing that SER isn't running properly and your LPM below 20.

I have been using poweruphosting for my VPS needs. I run SER+CB on 2 GB RAM and no issues so far. I don't think they have any bandwidth constraints and uptime is great too.

Thanks a lot for your great feeedback. Next, I want to know that do I need proxies as well if I use VPS?

higher plan is better one.. yes u need proxies even if u use VPS. they are must!

I use greencloud VPS. They're pretty cheap and have good & fast customer service. I'm running GSA SER, GSA CB, Scrapebox, and a few other pieces of software through it and having no real issues. I'm using 4 gb ram seo 2 package, and it does everything I need.
