So it's about that time. We are fixing to launch our new site and wanted to get some feed back on some hosting options.

I can't decided if we should keep offering Openvz hosting any more.

Over the last year the numbers on openvz have dropped while kvm customers have been going up.

So here it goes. If pricing was the same for openvz and KVM VPS would you even pick a openvz server? If so why?

I have kind of made up my mind to go ahead and drop offering openvz unless i get some major feedback on why we should keep it.

Maybe yes. If a user doesnt need kernel modules or a different os and is only looking to do something simple then openvz is still a decent option in the (very) low end market IMO. I haven't done my research and I don't know if you offer low end stuff but it's something to think about.

I cannot say I am a noob or whatever (though not a tech pro) but, as long as it works, it makes no difference. I never actually paid any attention to all of that virtualization, unless it added on price.
If prices were identical I'd choose KVM but only because VPSs I am with are powered by this as far as I remember.
I know one can Google it but if you let me know about its pros & cons in very few words I will tell you more.
