Am I missing something? These are the prices they always have. The $1.99 .com is priced with a non-domain purchase, and the $10.69 is what they usually charge, yes?

Was just about to reply the very same thing.

The $1.99 offer has been there for ages but applies only for non-domain purchases.

There's loads of active promo codes out there that give unlimited .com-s for $7.

Yep, but you don't get free privacy with GD domains.

You can get privacy for free on name.c0m. But heck, they don't give nods to domain tasting in there :D

Namecheap is also an alternative. In my experience, they are reliable and the free whois guard is cool. ALthough, it's only free for the first year, unlike Name.com

You can get free privacy - just buy 5 domains and add the privacy. You can then cancel and call the billing dept to get a refund on the other 4 if you want.

Namecheap sucks - slow site and interface. stick with Go Daddy or name.com.
