Ohhh shit... Yes you have total reason. I would not go with them. In the past they aren't a GoDaddy Company.
Unfortunately they sell Uniregistry to GoDaddy, meeh the quality will decrease. I think how it works.

I had recommended Uniregistry because they are serious, but after GoDaddy acquisition, I shouldn't go with them for sure.
I didn't repair they have acquired Uniregistry. I hate EIG Company... I will move any domain that I have with Uni.

Name.com is my choice. Have been there for so many years.
 
Namecheap is coming with whois protection. You can see lots of choices on your preferred domain.
