First, FB has no advantages over Adwords since:
1. The audience is not targeted as with Adwords (lack of keywords)
2. It's a Push method and not a Pull. I.e., users profiles get stuffed with ads / banners without them actually looked for a certain service (as opposed to Adwords)
3. Facebook is based on Frequency. I.e. how many times the user has seen your ad. The more, the worst. and thus you'll need to refresh your ads every now and then.
4. Facebook ads approval mechanism is extremely slow, it can take more than 3 days sometimes to approve your ad.
5. Facebook is cheaper. Though in most cases, it's cheaper than the Search Network, they can be expensive in comparison to the Display Network - which is almost the same.
To sum things up,
Your conversion percentage will likely to be lower than Adwords, you'll get less leads, and less targeted traffic. But, if u dont compare it to Adwords, it is pretty ok. I mean, it's the third biggest PPC network after Adowrds & Bing.
So comparing it to Adwords would be a mistake.
