Hello all, been lurking around here for around 2 years to gather ideas, learn a few things about making some worthwhile money online. I've been trying that for around 5 years now. I can neither say I made a fortune, nor that I made nothing at all, but after all these years I still feel I never did what I was meant to do. Moreover, I didn't really choose the right ways.I didn't prioritize my online ventures also because I was studying all these time, I am still studying although completed the major part of it. I started back in 2011 working on some crowd-sourcing jobs, data entries, article re-writings, product reviews, voice transcriptions and stuff. These were really poor paid jobs to be honest and even though I didn't really care about how much I earned at the end of the day, I gave up because it was highly saturated and the payment wasn't really worth the time I had to invest. Somewhere around 2013 I started uploading. Posted movies and stuff in many forums, made myself a warez blog etc. Although it was pretty boring but made me some good bucks at one point. I continued that till late. In between that I also tried to learn how to start and manage a website and a few SEO stuff - like traffic management, website promotion and advertising, keyword and competitors research, SERP etc. .... I completed my English Major back in 2014 and this year I also completed the Masters degree in English (That's what its called in my country, I guess). Now what I studied all these time was English Literature, other Humanities and Social Sciences and what I've been doing online had absolutely no link with what I am actually good at. That's where the lacuna persisted. .... If you are born in a Third World country, I guess you cannot call yourself a native speaker in English, so I would not go to the extent of calling myself one. But I studied 14 years in a Missionary institution and went on to English Major and Masters after that - so although I cannot call it my native language, English is without doubt my functionally active first language after these 20 years. I've developed quite decent communicative skills, and about my writing, you can judge that if you're reading this post. I joined here today to check if I can be of any good use and do something worthwhile, something that I'm really meant for. Because whatever I did for the last few years, were not really my cuppa tea. .... I was browsing the Content/ Copywriting section of this forum and came across some great articles. I'm pretty sure there is no lack of good writers here and plenty of options. Still I would like to try that myself sometime. If you have any help for me - any suggestions or criticism I'll be glad to receive a reply from you. Also need to know where to start, how to begin with things. Web content is something that every webmaster needs everyday. If anyone needs something maybe they can give me a try. Also is there any section where I can apply as a content writer? Thanks if you have read through the whole thing. I must stop now before this introduction turns into my résumé.
