To anyone doing the dentist method,

I'm about to do this method on a pretty big scale, but I'm suddenly getting cold feet as I'm about to get a bunch of 3rd party investors and such. I'm not worried I can't rank, etc, but I'm worried that businesses won't buy adspace...

Do people ALWAYS buy your adspace? Do you have sites that simply didn't work? Many of them?

I had a couple of site that simply did not sell adspace. I have them ranked on the 1st page of google.

IMO you should sell ads space for only one dentist per market/region. Make him becomes the authority in his market and he will be more keen in buying your services if he knows he will be the only one getting these online leads.

l am also doing this method but l am going with the one dentist per website method. why? Because, a lot of the local markets are probably not big enough for you to try and get two or three advertiser spots on these. lam trying it with one for now, have 5 new domains with sites online just waiting to rank them.

If I can sell one or more then l will know the method worked well. But, I need to be sure that I am providing them results first.

I'm doing this method too but as in my country doing advertisement for medical cares isn't allowed i must twist and think outside the box.

I have pretty good niche in my capital.

I've purchased 3 sites this week to do with this, one of them for the top 4 keywords has a total EXACT search volume of around 8-10k per month. It's ranking and the keywords are ranking on pages 2,3 and 9 respectively already.

I chose these niches based on:

a) search volume
b) domains being available
c) competition
d) sites being listed above google places listings so I know it's achievable
e) Knowing there are sufficient businesses in the area I could sell the space to

Sub'd to see if any others want to way in on this topic. I'm going to go with a somewhat different model based on this concept targeting High ticket/high commision items/services.

I am going to capture leads (AWEBER) and set up a dedicated 800# for each campaign. This way I build a list, can track lead generation via phone and online, and can provide TANGIBLE VALUE instead of "looks like the site got 50 visitors this month."

This will also allow me (in markets where it makes sense) to build a list for backend sales and promotional blasts that I can use as an upsell for client, and/or use to market CPA etc to.

I'm going to try out the restaurant thing in my area. It gets around 1000 exact searches a month. I'm hoping this is enough.

How should I go about contacting the restaurant owner? How can I sell them?

I'm thinking of selling two premium spots on the site for $100/ month and the rest pay a $25/ month.
