Is domain keyword.marketing going to have more effect in serp than someone that owns domain included in the keywordmarketing.com ?

According to Google Hummingbird update, keyword in your URL don't effect your SERP results. Still many webmaster looks for the keyword placed domain.

I see no reason to go for a domain like that. I don't think visitors trust them as much as the established TLDs, and perhaps Google doesn't either (thought that is hard to prove). Either way, I'll bet you would get a lower click CTR with a .marketing than a .com.

thanks for input! Client wanted .management so I went with that. could not get EMD .com

Honestly, people are so used to .com's and the main TLDs I don't think all these new TLDs are going to do well, I think they'll probably flop like the .xxx did. No one as far as I know really uses them on any sort of active basis.
