most TLDs will rank most of the time, and all TLDs will rank in the right conditions.
As ambiguous as this answer might sound to you it's still true because I've seen even .xyz TLDs ranking (and .xyz is notorious for being used by spammers), and all other TLDs will rank just fine if the site is optimized / liked by google

As others have said any domain can and will rank. Google doesn't discriminate.
