TLD Difference when Ranking

I want to rank a German Site, however It's not easy getting a .de domain for the money site.
My links will be .de however getting the money site is a bit of a hustle.

Would it make any difference if the site is .de or .com
Would it perform better if the money site is .de or it wont make any difference?

You will do fine with .com, just host it in Germany, that's pretty important part here.

There is no difference in ranking. I would just go with the dot com.

You will just be fine by using .com, .org., or .net. But if you're ranking locally, you can also add some links from .de sites.

In my opinion hosting locations does not matter at all, i rank country local domains #top1 and host them overseas. I also add local only links for tier1 as first always (no drip feed, in my opnion you will have to wait anywany until google index them).
