tips to stay anonymous without leaving a trace on internet

100% anonymity is virtually unobtainable, look into the story of how they busted the silk road founder. A guy who made more efforts than most people to cover all of his tracks, and they still found him. Although he did make some mistakes

  • Public Wi-Fi
  • Off-shore server & remote desktop
  • I don't know if it exists but it would be great if there is something that can handle your every request by Rotating Proxy
I think these are enough to hide yourself on the internet. Nevertheless, if someone wants, you could be found.

everyone has written in an exaggerated way. from your message and profile, I assume you're someone curious about the digital world. for now, just learning to use VPN services is enough. the next steps will vary greatly depending on the work you do and the life you lead.

I'm new to BHW, and I want to know if there are ways to be more anonymous or steps to take to stay anonymous on internet

Leave tips and steps below
If you’re looking to stay anonymous online, there are some effective steps you can take to protect your privacy. First off, using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a great way to mask your IP address and encrypt your internet traffic, making it much harder for anyone to track what you're doing. It’s also a good idea to create a separate email account specifically for online sign-ups, keeping your personal information out of the mix.

Be careful about sharing personal details, like your name or address, especially on forums and social media. Using privacy-focused browsers like Brave or Firefox can help too, especially if you add some privacy extensions. Don’t forget to regularly clear your cookies or use cookie management tools to keep your online activity under wraps

No same site will use the same Alias
No same site will use the same Emails
Use Proxies/DNS
Don't use Chrome
De-Google your ass
De-Microsoft
De-amazon
De-all huge platforms
don't use social media
Don't have social media installed
even then, you will be leaving footprints, the idea isn't to stay anonymous anymore, it's to be as muddy as possible for the tracker to give up piecing the pieces together.

Interesting! :suspicious: Is there a specific reason you're aiming for more anonymity?
Different goals can need different privacy measures.:smirk:

Depends from who and what are you going to do
first of all start with OS stay away from windows and mac

correct. even if you have the perfect plan, human mistakes are inevitable.

As long as you're in an online environment, it's impossible to completely hide information, someone will always find out

Staying anonymous on the internet and ensuring that you leave no trace can be challenging, but it’s possible with careful practices and a combination of tools.

I use a VPS that I bought from a foreign country that I bought. In that VPS, I use gologin to create browser profiles + Proxy to fake IP. That way is fine for me until now.

Please enjoy this short and on-point guide to your question.

Go old-school. Burner laptop, drive around in the community to find free wifi with a "borrowed" car in daytime.

Ross Ulbricht did a famously poor job with OPSEC, like advertising Silk Road on the clearweb using his real email tied to his identity, among other mistakes but that was his biggest and most obvious blunder.

100% anonymity is absolutely obtainable, but it requires a level of constant diligence, since all it takes is one tiny slip-up and it's all for nothing, which (if your threat model isn't exactly law enforcement or other state actors) is hardly worth it.

At any rate: TailsOS + Tor network, or better yet I2P network, will have you covered. This will make you pretty much traceless.

depends on how anonymous you want to be ... every level up in anonymity will have a convenience cost... myself I use: rental home with internet, no lease or ID used-> VPN paid with Monero (XMR) private crypto (no email signup) -> TOR network socks proxy

run linux on your computer .... degoogle your phone.... use privacy browsers

there is a lot to learn with staying private online ... never ending rabbit hole... but everyone should strive to up their privacy game... we are entering dystopian times of hyper surveillance
are you jumping over the walls of the houses? jajajaj

It depends on what you are doing

I depends on who is hunting you

Go to ZLib and PDF Drive and get books on "Private Investigation" , "Spy" and "Skip Tracing"

Dress good for your business transactions (Bank, Office Supply Store, Trade Show, etc)

Always look poor or ordinary any other time.

Do NOT "Flash the Cash"

Do not wear that perfect replica $180,000 watch you got from those sites that advertise on reddit for $1000
Maybe during a party that you are not drinking at (NEVER drink at a business party - they WATCH YOU EVERY SECOND)
but remove it before you leave the party. Those replica watches can get you killed.

If you need to look rich to other rich people but not flashy like the amateurs then watch -

Shoes (only rich people buy expensive shoes)

Suit ( Buy Zegna. It is the best non-custom made suit) Get it tailored to you

Very little jewelry (real rich people don't wear much jewelry)

TELL NO ONE ELSE YOUR BUSINESS OR PREPS. They eventually will come for you .....

Sorry for being off topic, but you need to know these things

Sincerely,

The Eye
