Here's my very brief success story with Clickbank. About 2 years ago I got heavy into Affiliate marketing and finally decided to start Promoting a Clickbank product. I didn't know how to create a website or host it, so I decided to use a Squidoo lens. I found a great low competition/high traffic keyword. I wrote a bunch of articles related to my Clickbank product, sprinkled them fairly heavy with my keyword and put about 3 aff links through out the page. I spent almost everyday for months creating back links and responding to comments.
After all those months I was consistently pulling about 500-600 traffic a day and was starting to receive several FB likes. I started making sells; my first check was just North of $200. After that brief feeling of success, Squidoo changed policies and didn't want aff links. I was beyond aggravated, but I learned a valuable lesson: Don't rely on someone else's site. I should have made my own blog and hosted it.
Now I want to get back into it. I have all my articles and I kind of a have a plan, but I want some guidance from some pros. I want to create a wordpress micro site using the same articles and want to buy a domain and host it.
Whats the most affordable way to host this micro site?
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
