Hello BHW, I’ve been looking around on the forum and seeing all type of ways people make money. I’ve also seen people giving out advice on starting a business so I wanted to help out those who are looking for some tips to help them out in their endeavors. Here are seven tips that have helped me. So let’s get started!! #1: Get rid of any old advice you were given about marketing. Getting rid of old marketing advice is important because most likely those are outdated methods. The market is always changing so adapting to the current situation is very important in order to make the proper decisions. This also allows you to become more flexible and creative which is helpful for creating your own solutions. #2: Use high-quality content to market your business. Content marketing is basically giving free information to people on your website that provides them with real value while at the same time offering them a chance to buy whatever you’re selling. Content marketing is really useful for putting yourself out there. When people read the content you produce, they have to feel like you actually sat down and put in the time and passion to write the articles. This is important in order to not sound like a robot but instead will make you more of an authority on the subject that you are presenting to them. #3: Email marketing Time and time again you will hear people say “the money is in the list” and they are completely right! Email marketing continues to be one of the most powerful tools for growing your business. This is because it is able to spread your marketing message over a large audience while at the same time keeping the costs low. Another benefit is that you become the owner of the network instead of relying on other networks like Facebook. #4: Establishing a network Many people believe that you need to have a network of thousands of people to start out in order to succeed with business. This isn’t the case at all. All you really need to begin is 5-10 people. Starting small in the beginning is helpful because it allows you to make a more solid connection with those few people instead of diluting your attention towards a lot of people. Eventually you will have a lot of people in your network but you need to build it from the ground up with those solid connections. Remember quality over quantity. #5: Take your website seriously I personally have seen a lot of people not take their website seriously. Their website is completely capable of being a lead generating or sales generating machine but some do not see that bigger picture. Your website is unique in that it alone determines if your sales go up or down from other marketing strategies you might use. Going back to the content marketing tip I said before, the quality of the content you provide has to lead people into trusting that you are looking out for their best interest. You are in fact looking out for their best interest but you have to convey that message to them before selling anything. #6: RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH! Researching is essential to any business. If you don’t know who you’re facing off against, how can you possible hope to outdo them? In a Ted Talk about power, one of the laws states that power is never static. This means that if you are not taking action to research your competitors and outdo them, they are currently taking action against you and will gain more power and most of the sales that you would’ve gain had you done the research. Constantly research the other competitors within your niche so you don’t get left behind. Last but certainly not least… #7: Hustle hard The internet is full of products promising a simple push of a button to start bringing in the cash. There is no shortcut to success people. However, taking the right steps will certainly bring you closer to success. Success comes fastest from working hard and smart. The fastest route is this: · Think about what exactly you what to achieve · Plan out a series of steps to get you from now to the future · Put into action your plan and invest you time into it I’ve talked to a few of my friends who own businesses and most of what they are doing can be summarize in these seven tips.
