Tips on getting started with niches

Hi guys. So I've recently been thinking about a niche that might work, Y'all can judge me or whatever, but i'm really new here and i would just like to get some tips, or advice on what i can do instead or improving at it.
So, I'm thinking about starting a youtube channel and uploading motivational shorts and clips from podcasts, to edit into long videos.
After building up the channel with a few thousand subscribers, I would change up everything about the channel to start affiliate marketing products on the channel.
Because i already gained alot of subscribers, I already have a quite big audience that might buy the products with my link, put in the description.
About Afilliate marketing. How much can you make of it? Is there much money in this market to take? Also, is it hard to succeed? and am i allowed to have a income from this under 18 years old?

it does take some work to succeed. The amount of money you can make will depend on a lot of factors, including the products you promote, the commission rates, and the size and engagement of your audience.

As for age restrictions, it's always best to check with your parents or legal guardians first, as the rules can vary depending on where you live. But in general, there are plenty of young people who are successful in affiliate marketing, so age shouldn't be a barrier to your success.

This is not a good idea.
Not only will it annoy your subscribers, but it will mess with the youtbe algorthm in terms of how it categorizes you.
Rather than do the old switch-a-roonie, why not start by doing video content related to the affiliate product? This way you have a direct audience who is already itnerested in the product. If your thinking of selling afifliate products related to motivational driven consumers than align along those lines.

There is lot of money in every niche. But you should be among top youtubers in that niche. So focus on quality content first.
