Tips for improving instagram engagement?

Hi all,

My IG account has 43k followers and it use to get ok engagement (around 1800 likes, 100 comments per post) now it has really dropped. I use to have an ig bot but i stopped using that because i really cant risk losing this account. Now my posts dont get many likes at all (maybe 500 likes, 50 comments). I don't post as often because i dont have much content anymore. I'm going to start posting more often again. Just looking for some tips on what i can do to improve engagement again. I could do some manual follow/unfollow, likes/comments etc, but would that help much? Also I'm thinking of starting a second ig account ( a promo account ) which will use a bot and i will have 'follow my main: @) in the description. I dont know if that will help much. Any advice or tips would be great!

Stick with one filter.

Get feedback with polls, questions and stickers.
Be careful of follower fatigue.
Mention others.

Find targeted hashtags your posts can rank for (Within current engagement rate)

Use IGTV

Implement comment strategy
 
jump on IG Reels, haven't tested it yet but I bet they will give ''love'' to accounts using the new feature as they did with IG TV.

follow fatigue refers to the decline in social media engagement that occurs
through functionalities such as Facebook “Like”, Google +1 and Twitter follows
and Retweets that occurs as a result of increased competition among those who
are seeking to be followed. This results in over stimulation and lack of
response from potential followers.
 
Engage with similar accounts in your industry or niche every day and Engage with content directly before and after you post
 
make an instagram ad targeted at reaching all of the people who have engaged with your page in the last 360 days. sometimes, if one of your followers hasn't engaged with your posts in a few weeks, the IG algorithm decides it shouldn't show them your posts anymore. making a cheap ad that reaches all of your followers will fix this
 
Put random quizzes in stories
arrange some giveaways
comment on posts or like comments on posts from similar pages will help you drive their followers to your page
