Tips for gaining group members

Hey guys,

I need advice from you for this matter: I specialize in law and with me, there are a few more. One of those are pretty popular and one reason for that, is because they have a few facebook groups, that have a ton of members. One group for law school, law career, etc.

Now my question is: I want to "attack" their facebook popularity by creating my own law group. However, I know it is hard to get people in, especially if there are groups with thousands of members already. What do you guys think would be a smart or creative way to try?

I had once tried to do so but i failed because i gave UP to early !
so tip no. 1 - DON'T give UP , it takes some time to build a big group.
2. first make a facebook fan page beacuse getting likes is far more easy than convincing people to join your group
3. Write some good posts for your fb page, posts most be engaging so that more and more people like and share them
4. once your fan page is running good, make a new group
5. now promote your group via your fb page !
6. repeat steps 3 and 5 !

2. Create a group with 1,000 seed member. Add friends, or pay someone to do it for you.
3. Share your group in other related groups.
4. Watch it grow.

Facebook Groups originally functioned as Facebook Pages do now. They often promoted organizations or ideas and group creators sometimes sought as many members as possible. Creators could invite new members and people could decline these invitations. People could also join without invitations. Facebook's 2011 upgrade changed how groups work. People can no longer join groups without invitations. But when you do invite them, they join the group immediately without having to accept the invite.

You can invite your friends to join your group.
You can promote your group on different relevant groups and pages.
