Tips for finding expired domains

Hi guys,

I have been scraping my ass of and haven't really come across great expired domains. I am just wondering with what metrics do you guys decide to purchase a expired domain? So from what TF/CF am I being crazy to only try and scrape domains with a trust flow of 20 more than 80 backlinks and 30 referring domains?

Also another thing is i use the premium plugin for scrapebox to find these expired domains, often the domains that pop in the list aren't expired? Anyone else experienced this?

I started off with scrapebox and had similar problems, turns out it was because I bought a cracked copy!

In the mean time I started looking around for options as id already bought moz, majestic and some good proxies which really needed to be used.

Found domain hunter gather and haven't looked back, if you know your niche and associated KW its the way to go.

Don't forget to check those BL and ref domains for spam etc to keep it quality

Double on the Domain Hunter Gatherer! Really the best.
Only reason I stopped is because business slowed down for me.
Now that business is better again, going back ......

IF you search for coupons , you can get the price down easily!
 
There are a lot of great videos out there, the ones from Terry Kyle (just google them) are from last year and they are good. Also there are a lot on here.

Ive looked at other peoples pbns as well and it varies a lot. If you could find majestic trust flow above 10 and everything else is good, your in good shape. Obviously the better the domain the better, but you have to start somewhere.

But it does depend on your niche. In the past couple weeks I picked up 2 domains, 1 for a fashion niche and one for a tech niche that were Very much in line with the sites I wanted to use them with. Further they had great links from things like redbook magazine and others on the fashion niche and kelly blue book on the tech niche etc..

But the TF wasn't all that hot. But the sites were both only dropped by the original owners, never been used for anything, clean profiles, totally on target for the niche along with links from really other high authority domains in the niche, so I got them. Its $10 a shot so I coudln't begin to buy a link on a page for that cheap. So whats "good" isn't always able to be boiled down to a metric, because the TF was otherwise lower then I would have normally liked.
 
expireddomains.net has links to the wayback machine for each domain.
 
I already have majestic another subscription for 87$ a month is to much :P
 
it's free but I'm not sure what you're doing, is it finding specific domains then scraping archive.org pages?

This thread looks like a DHG promotion thread (confirmation from a user with 2 messages :).
I am using Scrapebox plugin and did not try DHG.
Any reputable member who can confirm that DHG is better than Scrapebox plugin?
 
I am using domcop. But you may need majestic account to verify TF CF, many times TF CF and also DA PA is inaccurately shown in domcop.
 
I was always wondering how many places you can check dropped expired domains? I mean, the common places we all know as, expireddomains.net, domcom, Godaddy expired list, and other big places or databases?

Not in a thousand years you will find TF20+ RD30+ domain unless you scrape millions of domains a month.

I scrape, give or take, 3 million domains monthly and I can't remember when was the last time I saw TF20+ RD30+ domain that was completely clean.

So if you really want to scrape your own domains, you have to both scale up and significantly lower your expectations. And yeh, also do some reading on CF and what it means and why it's bullcrap to go after high CF. :)

Yeah you have to be reasonable, finding ones that are clean and that high isn't realistic.

Agreed, CF isn't a metric to focus on, except for perhaps ruling things out, not ruling them in. CF is easily inflated, just like moz metrics. Although TF is manipulated easy enough, given that your not in a hurry. Which is why eyeballing things looking for clean domains is key.

Plus the best advice I could give you and Im sure Nargil would agree is expect to screw up some. I mean if your buying an auction domain for $1000 do your home work, but when you are registering a $10 domain, sometimes, specifically in the beginning, your going to screw up.

I have screwed up, I screwed up my SOA record with a nice footprint on my first try, linking it to the site I was linking it too. Live and learn. Alot your self some money, maybe $100 for example (or more) to just learn and test with and measure results. You could easily spend way more then $100 on links from a seller here and wind up doing more harm then good at the same time, so $100 to learn is dirt cheap.

I set aside $500 to buy domains, screw up, and learn for buying PBN domains and using them to rank etc...

Failing isn't a problem, so long as you keep trying. Ready, Fire! Aim.

100% agree. You basically learn by failing. I have no idea how many thousand I spent on shit domains and shit PBNs. SEO, and IM overall, is a game where you pay for the experience. It hurts, but nobody will take that from you :)
 
Last year I "failed" with 1,5k doing my luck with paid ads. so much for that.
Woke up, started doing blackhat again in Late 2016.

Every link I popped up, created or bought helped increase ranking. NOW, I got enough data, to know, what helps increase #

oh, and I love finding expired freeblogs. UR 19, RD15. nice asset to use for a backlink .
