Tips for buying links?

I am quite intimidated by trying to figure out which links I should buy. I can spend $300 a month for links but the options are so many and each seller seems to have a different logic behind pricing his links.

I see some sellers selling links at sites with the same metrics at half the price than other sellers. What is the catch?

Also reviews are kinda hard to find in each thread, I read through 5 pages or so and all I see is users requesting samples or discount coupons.

Can an experienced buyer give me some guidelines?

Is it really a good service? Have you used it? My experience in other forums tells me that when a moderator sells a service he is going to overprice it since he is going to get sales anyway. Is his case different?

I've used his services many times before, the ones he doesn't even offer openly on the forum. The links are fairly priced and you will get much more for your buck than with other sellers here.

Is there a standard market price for links? Or each seller sells for whatever price he wants regardless of their quality?
 
you would be better of creating your own pbn with expired domains
the CATCH with buying links is that everybody inflates the value of the domain
and besides you are never 100% sure the link will be online, you dont manage the site

Each seller sells differently. This affects both the quality (links will not mostly be deleted on forums) and on time
 
I think that if you're trying to compare the cheaper services with the same metrics as higher costing services, you should ask for samples for both and then compare them. Sometimes the sellers are selling the same links but one of the sellers can provide it for cheaper due to a variety of reasons.

I considered that option too. Is this what people that have been in SEO for a long time end up doing?

I read in the sticky thread here that expired domains are a no go and that most of them have nothing to offer in terms of SEO and that auction domains is where the value is and I am not sure if I can afford to buy 20-30 of these. Is there maybe any tool that can help find domains with good stats at a price lower than $100?
 
Here is my advice and this is what I often do.

  1. Ask for samples
  2. See how long those sites have been around, check out the site design and the content.
  3. If all looks ok. Contact a buyer or two that posted that they placed an order but never came back and left a review. Make sure it has been 2-3 months so they can see of there was any ranking change.

Sometimes the samples I get are deindexed, just terrible designs or poor content that I don't want pointing to my site. I will pass on these sellers.

If all is good, I contact the buyers. If they tell me it was a good experience, I'll place an order. Sometimes they will come back with an awful story and tell me they got refunded. Then I avoid them.

You can't compare BHW with other forums. It is far better than others.

Looks like the whole answer of @Rj268 went vein.

Best option is dig out your self.

You have to contact few sellers and analyze what they can do with their backlinks. just see, How they are supporting to your questions!
Tell about your budget! Ask for the best plan according to your budget.

One of the thumb rule

You will get what you pay for.

If you are not received the backlinks as per sellers promise you have the options to go for refund and report about seller.
I just won't believe if anyone gives guarantee about ranking.

My being a moderator on here has zero relevance to me selling any service.
As for pricing, our prices are probably the best value on here.

Tips for buying links; Quality over quantity wins the day. If you understand about link velocity, you'll understand why this is a point to consider.

In the scheme of things you need to be realistic with expectations, one link at $100 isn't going to get you to page 1.

Thanks for the mention. At some point, @WebMinati and I really should get a couple more BSTs opened to offer the other services we offer out to our clients.

dont make a statement about a bhw mods product based on your exp
from other forums, bhw isnt other forums, and MisterF has always come
across as a decent sort, and no i dont brown nose either just stating
what ive seen. try the product then judge it, dont down it because of
who he is or the position he holds.
 
I don’t know your site but for 300$ I would spend it guest posts and pbns (premium ones only) next month niche edits and pbns and then repeat the process. I would suggest you to allow the sellers to pick keywords and drop feed strategy and if any seller can’t help you with this then avoid him easy as that. Now I know this is controversial and I’ll clear I’m not asking seller to do a fresh keyword research rather see the kw and then use long tails or diversify it to make it better hope it helps you
