Looking to pick up some custom embroidered apparel off Alibaba.

Are there any precautions I should take? How do you guys protect yourself on Alibaba? I heard scams are common.

Would love to hear some words from someone who's bought there before. Tips or things you always do on the site.

It seems easier to find reputable suppliers on DHGate than Alibaba. Plus they use an Escrow system.

Tell the suppliers to make a photo of you name written in a blank paper near to the stuff you are buying to confirm that they are in possession of the product.

Product is custom embroidery as I said earlier. They won't make the product without any payment.

They have a place where they work, don't they? Then that is enough to know.

Hm, I don't use Alibaba, but I use AliExpress. Wish I could really help, but if Alibaba is like Aliexpress, isn't there a feedback system you could look over before you order anything? And a messaging system to talk to the supplier? I always try and contact the supplier before ordering anything from them and if I don't get a response, I just walk away..

It is not really fool proof, they could ask another supplier to write his name on the product, then take the money.

Maybe I should try DHGate or AliExpress. Which would be best for custom embroidery jobs?

The seller do not get the money until you get the product. So scamming is kind of hard on those sites since they use escrow

Do not buy in bulk at first. Always request samples to make sure they have quality merchandise.

Really? Are you lacking common sense? The fact you're asking such noobish questions suggests so.

Everything suggested in this thread could have been figured out with the help of some simple common sense.

I think your motive may be to attract traffic towards your sig space, am I right?

I can't wait to see you get banned, maybe I only flame idiots like yourself. You make me laugh with all your pointless posts, seriously why not find something productive to do with your time rather than posting shit that a 12 year old wouldn't even laugh at. Are you still angry because I outed you and made you look like a complete moron?

As for OP, maybe if he used his common sense he wouldn't have to ask such silly questions.

So take your shitty posts back to the lounge where they belong, I'm not going to continue arguing with some 13 year old prepubescent kid.

Ahahaha, man, if my posts were so shitty then you wouldn't take them so serious, now would you?
Before you go on with all the offense and shit, let me point out to you that having a clown from a Batman movie isn't moronish of course, posting stuff like "Your just getting attention to your sig" isn't also moronish, but let's look at your signature for a moment, I mean, really? If you never promote your signature through your posts, then there is one question - why did you put it up?
You still flame my threads in the lounge, so I really don't see any other way of me going out of this situation without flaming you myself or basically arguing with you so you would shut the fuck up once in your life.
If you have something against noobs, then you should quit this forum, it's made for knowledge sharing, not for trolls like yourself.

I have one question for you before I stop responding to this thread, have you ever been abused? I mean in real life?

Yes, a lot of times - but it doesn't mean I didn't abuse them ;).
Anyway, you are right - I am a total asshole 13 year old kid, apologies for all of my posts in your direction, now let's close this thread and topic forever. ;).

Yeah, just ignore him. I didn't bother to respond. The guy sells his signature and has 2 journeys using the most beginner methods. Should be enough for you to know not to waste your time talking with him.

Hope this ban wasn't for sticking up for me.

Anyways, cheers. I'm going to close the thread and register for DHGate and AliExpress, and start ordering some apparel. I'll probably go with DHGate as it seems to be more business oriented where as AliExpress seems to be B2C with no order minimums (so it'd be more expensive to compensate).
