Tips for Amazon marketer

Hi =) i was poking around adsense for few years. got mixed results, and it works good in general.
But i don't like to put my eggs in same basket, so im going in with Amazon. :marchmell
In 3 days i got my domain on first page of the niche i found. adwords told me it has 27000 global monthly seraches. but i didn't get any of those on my site, even though im almost number 1 under that keyword. Anyway this is pulling me down a b it. So im looking for some tips.

Here is how i do it now:
1) i have designed a great virtual shop, that i fill with items from amazon web services. it looks really whitehat, and has nice design.

2) then i search in amazon for products that have low competition (less then 300 000 google serps) and monthly searches over 20 000

3) build backlinks

Any tips for me? maybe the numbers 300 000 and 20 000 are incorrect?
What products (in general) are good to be sold from Amazon ?

install wordpress with amaniche plugin (shared on bhw) with your amazon api's you can setup a really nice webstore

To choose products on Amazon go to bestseller section in each category.
You'll find actual products wich are working well.

i just use MS too find keywoeds and amazon products
