I was wondering if you could give me some tips for getting started.

What is the easiest way to get started to help get my sites in Google. I have heard that adding hidden text and links works, but I would think that this method is so over used I would not get listed to start with.

What are some other ways to get started?

Thanks for all your help

Matt

You can purchase yourself some cheap .info domains
related to your niche, then create feeder sites that point
to your "money site". Then get some backlinks to each
feeder site that will in turn trickle down to your main
money site.

The advantage to this is if anything goes wrong with your
feeder sites, your main money site is intact, and you can
just create more feeder sites.

Make sure you don't link your feeder sites together either.

What are feeder sites exactly? just sites that have rss content on them related to your niche? cloaked sites with loaded keywords? and how do you get backlinks for those feeder sites? create feeder sites for the feeder sites?

Feeder sites are usually either throwaway sites that use
cloaked pages filled with keywords that redirect to you
main "moneysite", or they can be sites filled with articles
stuffed with your keywords that have links back to your
main moneysite.

In practice, you need to have a hosting provider that
can give you different IP address space for each domain
name you have on separate IP blocks. I found this
method by watching some of the "Big Dogs" who make
lots of money, so this can get expensive, but if your
making a return, it is more than worth it.

One tip I can give you, which I am sure you have heard
before, is to watch what the big guys do, NOT what they
say they do. Whenever I listen to so called guru's with
their teleseminars, podcasts, etc, I think of them all as
illusionists.

What I mean is, I think of them as masters of deception.
They tell you one thing, while they are really doing another.

Just like any great magician, if his skill is good with misdirection,
he will succeed tremendously. So be careful what they tell
you and pay more attention to what they actually do.

Here is a example. I subscribe to tons of lists for lots of
different internet marketing products. The author of one
particular list I'm on tells you to stay away from bombarding
your list with messages every day, or even every other day.
In the mean time, he fires his monthly newsletter off to the
list like 5 times in one day. The same newsletter!! He does
this every month, without fail, sometimes sending out the
same newsletter 17 times a month in the same month! Clearly
he is not following is own preaching, but wants you to believe
his hype.

:)

I agree with the post above...and I think most of the gurus just give out their "secrets" when it has stopped working or in dying stages...

Have seen it number of times...and it still happens too.

That thread is from 2007, so it is way too old to reply to. If you post there, you will definitely get flagged for "grave digging" an old thread. Stick to the ones from the last few days.

i wouldn’t mess with hidden text or links, that stuff is old and more likely to hurt than help now. easiest way to start is good keyword research, solid content, proper internal linking, and getting a few relevant backlinks slowly. google’s way better at spotting spam these days.
