Tips For a Newbie!

Hi!

Im thinking about starting a blog at Blogger to at least get a starting capital for bigger investments in the future and could use some tips.
I pretty much know what it is i want to do but need some help to make it as profitable as possible

Im going to put CPA banners on the site, thats pretty much all i know how to do
Im also thinking about contacting someone on youtube and ask for a cooperation..put his videos on my blog and get him to send people my way..the thing is that i dont know exactly how to do this in the best way possible. Should i just ask him/her to include my blogadress in the info of his videos? Any way to make a profit of his videos on my blog?

Something else i can do that i have'nt even thought about?

Yeah i started a little WP project but i gave it up almost instantly when i realized i cant put affiliate banners on the page..

have'nt published the page yet..still pissed of at clickbank for not having banners, and still not 100% sure on what banners to put on the page. tips on getting traffic would be nice to
