Tips for a Micro Niche on Blogger?

I've just created a Blogger blog (my first proper go at AdSense money) It's a micro niche.

I was just wondering if there we're any tips for either getting extra traffic, design, colours or Ad placement that works/worked for any one who has used Blogger.

I'm also going to create a WordPress Authority site but want to get the small money flowing first, hopefully I can drive traffic from one another if I can get healthy traffic from my MNS

Is this worth a Journal? It's only a crappy blogger blog anyway.. I might just keep my own journal and track each and every step I make and then make a thread on my story if this works

P.P.S. I don't want to use WordPress for this MNS so please don't flame me for being cheap and lazy

I use ProSense theme on a couple of Blogger blogs I have, seems to get a decent CTR and still looks good.
