This is for USA ecommerce sellers, don't know if this apply in any other country.
As the busy Xmas season is upon us, the shipping carriers handle a great amount of packages every day and is very easy that a shipping labels gets detached or damaged during transit.
A good solution that I recommend and not many do is include a shipping invoice with consignee's name and address in your shipping package.
For some shipping companies is helpful if you can include the proper tracking number or a reference number to track the shipping info and reprint a shipping label.
Some will forward a package to consignee if only name and address is provided.
So better be safe than sorry!
