Many of those website value calculator sites allow you to leave a link. Just try it!

I tried 10+ sites and I don't we can get any benefit from this method.

Guys, there are plenty of automated tools on here which will do this for you. Try searching for backlink speed as just one example. You do not have to visit each site manually. Oh and by the way, this does help get your sites indexed quickly, but long term link value is not what you are doing it for.
