Tip for cheaper VPS than Hostgator?

I am looking for a reliable VPS which is cheaper than Hostgator (price starts on $20/month).
Can you give me some tips based on your (in the best way personal) experience?

There are a lot of quality BHW providers which could please you with their quality and their low price.

You could check the signature to get cheap Linux or windows VPS with us. We did have a 99.99% uptime over the whole 2012 year.

You could also check powerup hosting, hostthename, hostamus and so on. They are also very good.

The new hosting I use is pretty awesome. I used to be with GoDaddy... The technical support is great and it cost less. PM me if you want to know more.
edit> I can't send PM's yet. haha I use a company called Hostwinds. I think they will have what you are looking for.

check prometeus.net if you are looking for cheap unmanaged vps :) I have 3 with them, never had an downtime.
