Tinder allowing anyone to have Blue verification tick!

So far its only being tested in select markets ( I presume LA , NY...etc but mobile VPN could probably work to trick it ) and allows anyone to get the celebrity only blue verified tick if you just do some poses to confirm you're you. As far as the majority of the world is concerned the blue tick on Tinder still means you're a celebrity.

If you ever plan to use Tinder to sell something or use it somehow for business purposes this is probably the best time to do it as you could get 100s of matches with people not only trusting you by default but also being very interested in anything that you say or do just because of the " clout ". This will probably work for a good year or so before Tinder rolls it out worldwide and the plain foils when everyone gets that Blue tick.

( Realistically they are doing this to collect facial recognition data )

Looks like test markets only. Pretty sure Bumble already does this.

Yeah Bumble does already do this but it just doesn't quite carry the same stature as Tinder.
 
If everyone in the test market gets an alert notification/pop-up to do the verification to get a blue check, I can't imagine anyone would really confuse you with for celebrity. But my guess is since that blue check has a lot of meaning on social media, they're hoping more people would do this just to see that check next to their name. It'll get a lot of stale users back active again. Smart move on their part.

And they say it's to crackdown on catfishing, but I think Tinder's doing this more so to kill bots. If that's the case, another smart move. Whoever creates and image generating AI bot for this would make a serious killing tho.

If you’re using this for business simply use the passport option after to show the tick off in other cities / countries in markets where it’s still recognised as a status symbol.

I just did some additional research and didn't realize Tinder did this for celebrities. It's not in NY surprisingly, so they're probably testing their AI in smaller markets first. Tinder Gold is half off this month, I'm almost tempted to use the passport feature to wherever cities they're testing and seeing if it could work :D
 
So... Tinder legalizes prostitution? Good luck with FOSTA/SESTA.
 
Tinder is completely useless in India. Its big market but seems like they don't give a damn about the Indian market.
 
BOYS I FOUND THE TEST MARKET!!!

Its Cork in Ireland..., this took forever to find and no passport will not work you will need to trick your phone in to believing you are there with a fresh Tinder account.

I just did it using " Dr.fone " and it worked! I got the option to verify my tinder , I will post here when my account is blue tick verified in a few hours then I will disconnect this GPS emulator and i'll be verified in the UK just like any other celebrity here.

And the account is now officially blue tick verified!
