timed visitor block needed

Hi guys,

I need a timed visitor block for my wordpress site, I have one but for some reason when I use it it blocks straightaway.

Im using the colorway theme and I put the code in the header template, it writes to my log file but then blocks the user.

I want it to allow someone in, take a look around then block them from returning for xx hours after they leave.

Just set a cookie when they visit and set the expiration to 24 hours.

If a visitor has the cookie set do not allow the page to load.
