I met up with a friend for coffee at a cafe last week. My friend is a type 1 diabetic and requested a hot chocolate from the "sugar free" section of the menu. This section is aimed at diabetics and people avoiding sugar and it's clearly indicated in the menu that an artificial sweetener suitable for diabetics will be used. We clearly indicated this to the server and he repeated the order positively. The hot chocolate was promptly served and my friend had it.

After 20 minutes we left from the cafe. As soon as we came out my friend starting feeling high sugar symptoms like extreme thirst and a vomiting sensation. I immediately drove him to the hospital. The doctor checked his sugar level and guess what....it was almost 500! This is extremely dangerous and can put the person in a coma and death! The doctor immediately did multiple corrective measures and the sugar level started dropping.

I wrote a negative review of the cafe on a restaurant review site. Instead of an apology, the owner responded extremely rudely implying that I was making it up and I'm probably from a competing restaurant trying to spoil their business. To add insult to injury, the owner went on my FB profile and messaged my contacts saying that I'm a liar and they should be careful of me! WTF!

This asshole needs to be taught a lesson! I'm planning on making multiple profiles on the restaurant review site and drip feeding negative reviews. What else can I do to teach this asshole a lesson?

Think about the professional, righteous and considerate person you are expecting him to be in this situation.

then think about what that person would do in your situation.

Then do that.

Teach others by the way you live your life, not by telling them how to live theirs.

I wouldn't muddy the waters any further. That is, unless someone drops dead on their floor.

Man, F*** that guy! But we gotta see every bad thing as an opportunity to turn it into a good thing. Here's how. First, Forget drip-feeding, just blast them all in one day! Then order a Triple Half-Caff Double Foam Hot Chocolate Vanilla Cream Latte with Quadruple sugar and extra sprinkles, a cup of water, and a biscotti.

Then tell the barista "This is for (Friend's Name)!". When they say "What?", It's Go Time.

Pour the drink all over the counter and floor and everything else you can there. Then take the top off the sugar container they have there and say "Here you go since you like to give people so much damn sugar" and shake it out in all the most hard to reach crevices, pouring water behind it. The goal is to make everything so sticky and hard to clean that they will never want to use sugar again after having to clean it up.

Then gtfo of there with your biscotti, go home and blast as many more horrible reviews as you can.

Then starts your focused De-Marketing campaign. Quickly acquire the domain (name of coffee shop)in(yourcity)scamreviews.com before it gets taken, and a baby gator hosting plan.

Install Wordpress with Fantastico and a install a kickass Premium Coffee Shop theme from themeforest and get a bunch of links to rank #1 for the coffee shop name, "coffee shop name + reviews" and "coffee shop name + scam".
Make sure to make your Title Text "Do Not Go To (Coffee Shop Name)", and then make the Description text "Until You Read This". This will skyrocket your CTR.

Then do nothing but write up shitty reviews and post them on that site nonstop daily remembering to frequently use the coffee shop name, scam, reviews, and many LSI keywords for these terms. Remember, Content is King. The more captivating content and elaborate stories in your reviews the better. Roach stories rank really well.

For bonus points, buy an Apron on Amazon, preferably of the coffee shop's same brand colors. Twice every day for 2 hours each or until you get caught (whichever happens first), at the morning and lunch rush, stand directly outside of the coffee shop with said apron on with a bitchin bum sign that says "Sorry we're closed. Go to Starbux" until they kick you out. Ask many more questions here and learn more methods to ruin this guy's life and double up on what works.

When you make that man cry in front of his store you know you have become pretty good at this thanks to the pointers you got on bhw. Now you gotta take the show on the road. Go back to BHW and buy JVIP and sell this service in the marketplace, calling it "Sweet Revenge De-Marketing Package" with a bunch of sweets and sugary desserts in the graphics, and tell your story as part of your pitch. Revenge is sweet, bank hard.

Thats not fair, ruining someones bussines is not a good thing no matter the reasons. You could try and go there again together with your friend talk to him. Then if he is as shitty as you say... maybe you can add some couple of ... hundred of bad reviews. You know.

If you still have the receipt for the coffee and the paper from doctor, that is right after, your friend can probably sue the cafe.

File a legal complaint, if you go around adding negative feedback's and if it gets proved that they are false. Then your entire story would be framed as a made-up story.

Try doing things legally and not unethically.

Has anyone ever told you your wicked?

Haha, you know it's funny that you mention that. For some reason, I've been hearing that a lot lately but it's mainly from restaurant staff that f up my order and past schoolteachers that gave me crappy grades. Weird.

If u create fake profiles etc - then it will not help, because if it is investigated (by anyone) and found that these are fake profiles, you lose all your credibility. No one will trust u then. It looks like the owner takes his business seriously and he went after u only for 1 review - he may go to court if there are more, and in court u will be proved as a liar although u were actually trying to tell the truth.

So what can be done? Try to gather all the documents from hospital. Also send a friend to that restaurant, get a sample from there and test it in lab - it will be solid proof then (if the owner has not fixed the issue yet). If u can prove it - hire a lawyer and get 300k (1 for u, 1 for ur friend, 1 for me) from the owner. U can hold a press conference. U can also give the hospital docs to your friends and family who were messaged by the owner - write a status describing the incident - tell all those friends and family to share the status with screenshots of the message from the owner. It may get viral.

BUT BUT BUT before all these, please do make sure that there was really something wrong in the coffee. I mean, your friend could get it from somewhere else too. u should not ruin someone's business until u r sure.

Also: One important thing: I think the one review u wrote, it hurt the owner a lot already in his balls. Why waste more bullets then.

u can also update the review u already posted with screenshots of the messages that were sent by the owner to your friends

well you crafted an evil plan to ruin someone's business quickly instead of trying to put out the flame you added more gas to it. that's how i perceive your post, no solution can come out of this conflict like that.oh well there is the temporarily satisfaction of taking revenge when in fact dozens of ways exist to tackle this that can lead both parties to some mutual understanding,

This made my evening.;)

Let it go. Your friend is alive , be thankful.

If they are bad business , they will surely pay for it. It is the law of the universe

I'm in agreement with many here... Your friend is alive, the other guy is a obviously a dick, time to move on.

People with this level of customer service rarely come out on top.
