Looks like the viral fan pages are over. Facebook saw it and dealt with it. However we are all smart enough to come up with a new plan. So come on, now is the time to start. It was good while it lasted!
Time to move on but we will not give in!

facebook is gone i got a message stating im a spammer and they are doing an investigation on me ! idk if i should keep trying !

Depends what you are doing on facebook. if you are trying to use FBML code to set up CPA offer tab right on the page, then those are as good as dead in a day.
But if you are trying to direct people off site to your own blog or something where you have a CPA offer, then facebook isn't going to care.

It really is a lot harder to get a page going viral right now...I mean I have a decent sized page that's growing but by now it should be growing 10x as fast.

You are thinking about this the wrong way. You don't want your page to viral because if it does, it immediately gets on the Facebook staff radar and they come checking to see what is going on, they see your CPA offer and boom - instant ban. You need to learn a bit more about staying under the radar.

I think if you can get a page to go viral it is always a good thing. But you have to be ready to shift gears if it does.
Pull the cpa offer off the page immediately when the popularity starts hitting a viral state. Make your page as whitehat and interesting as possible to keep facebook happy. Then direct as much of the traffic as you can get to an off facebook page that you have set up with whatever blackhat strategies you have going.
You can always set up more of the regular facebook pages pushing the cpa offers, but viral traffic is harder to get. Best to take advantage of it when you can succeed in getting it.

People give up too easy. Facebook is NOT dead, nor will it ever be. It's the traffic king right now. Everyone on this forum has hopped on the fan pages wagon hoping to get make 10k a day and then as soon as fb does something to the pages, you all come back crying "fb is over, fb is dead, FML!" - jesus christ is it THAT hard to take an idea, twist it, make it unique and start earning?
Where did you receive the message bro? Your fake account's email ? no need to worry facebook ain't gonna start investigating 100k spammers they dont have the time i suppose..

I second that. It doesn't matter what you market as much as it matters How you market.
As the OP has titled it. Don't give in. Change your tactics, improve promotional strategies. Take your thinking outside of your fixed concepts and ideas - think outside ... no, forget it just shoot the box. Do it!
