I'm curious if people are seeing a dip in views for new creators. Last year I set up a couple accounts and views were 3,000 - 6000 on average. Setting up recent accounts, the views seems to be allot lower , 250-500 views occasionally going past 1,000 views. Different niche mind you, but it seems like more pay to play now. I wonder if that has to do with the relationship with the US gov. propaganda wars, i digress this sounds like politics or conspiracy. While, recent changes on Youtube fyp seems to favor new creators views wise. what do you folks think.

I was getting between 10 - 20k on all my videos until the beginning of April now I’m lucky to get 5k. I’ve noticed other creators in my niche are having the same problems.

Organic reach for new accounts feels throttled lately, TikTok might be leaning into pay to play.

TikTok’s algorithm has significant updates in 2025, shifting how content is recommended. It now emphasizes engagement velocity to how much watch time

Definitely an engagement thing.

Tiktok usually promotes old creators or hot controversial topics. New accounts get 300- 400 views per video or per 3 videos it's a bit complicated.

Has anyone on BHW have good methods, I wonder to increase views.

I would think of it in 2 ways.

1. tiktok did a algoritm update or change something in that nisch.
2. You might got flagged from tiktok as spammer or poor content

The problem is your content and video quality. Check your best competitors pages to get ideas.

I’ve noticed the same thing. Last year, fresh accounts could get solid organic reach pretty quickly. Now new accounts still get a little boost on the first posts, but it dies off fast. Feels like TikTok is moving more into ‘pay to play’ harder to grow without ads. Also, dips in views often line up with algorithm changes. The only way to stay consistent is posting regularly and engaging with your audience, but those explosive organic spikes from last year aren’t as easy to hit anymore.

But you can confirm you still get some type of boost from a fresh phone new account (new phone or factory reset without warming)?

Update to my post: I have noticed that proper categorization by Tiktok of your video, is key. If it has a related search down at the bottom of the screen, that means it's been properly categorized and you'll get more views. If you combine this with trending searches related to your niche audience, it also helps to boost the view count organically.
