TikTok traffic still worth it or mostly dead unless you push volume?

Hey,

Been testing TikTok for sending traffic to a couple niche pages. Some vids randomly pop off even on new accounts, others get stuck at low views with no real reason I can see. Feels like it’s either hook + retention in first few seconds or the account itself being “aged” or warmed up, not sure.

Anyone here still getting consistent traffic from TikTok without running ads? What’s working for you right now — faceless clips, repost style content, or just brute posting volume? Also curious if you’re building accounts long-term or just cycling new ones when reach drops.

Yeah, TikTok traffic definitely isn’t “dead,” but it’s not as easy or predictable as it used to be. What you’re describing is pretty much what most people are seeing now — some videos randomly take off, while others just sit at a few hundred views.

From what I’ve tested, it’s still heavily about hook + retention, but there’s also some level of account trust involved. New accounts can pop off, but they’re inconsistent. If you warm up an account for a week or so with normal content, distribution feels a bit more stable.

A few things working for me right now:
  • Strong first 2 seconds (this matters a lot more than people think)
  • Short videos (most of my better ones are under 15s)
  • Looping clips so people rewatch without realizing
  • Consistent posting (not spam, but daily helps)

Faceless content still works depending on the niche. Reposts can hit too, but they burn out faster unless you’re adding your own spin.

One thing I’ve noticed — if you’re trying to send traffic off-platform (like to APK/mod-type sites), TikTok seems a bit stricter now. I tested this with a couple of pages where I was indirectly pushing users toward sites like protik18, and the videos only performed when the content didn’t feel overly promotional. As soon as it looked like a direct push, reach dropped hard.

For volume, I’ve tried both:
  • 1–2 quality posts/day → more consistent growth
  • 5–10 posts/day → more random viral hits, but also more dead content

I stick somewhere in the middle now.

As for cycling accounts — yeah, I’ve done it, but I’ve had better results just sticking with a few and riding them out. Sometimes all it takes is one good video to “revive” reach.

Biggest change IMO: TikTok is way less forgiving now. If the hook or retention isn’t there, the video just dies early.

What niche are you testing in? That seems to make a big difference lately.

There are still different type of content niche that you could focus on to gain consistent views, there is actually a content I have worked on in 2023 and now it is still gaining 1-2 millions views monthly.

Although if it is hard for you to gain organic views, promoting your videos is a good way to reach a targeted audience you are looking for in the first stage, it really help with the followers also.

From what I’ve seen, it’s a mix of both — hook and retention matter a lot in the first few seconds, but account history also plays a role over time. Faceless and repost content can still work, but consistency and testing different angles seem to be the key

Still seeing some traffic from TikTok, but it definitely feels less predictable now. Short hooks and consistency seem to matter more than anything. I have noticed accounts that post regularly tend to perform better over time.

Traffic from TikTok is still strong in 2026, but consistent results usually come from strong hooks, high retention, and steady posting rather than relying only on volume.
