I've being shadow banned on Tiktok, account is more than 1 year old, only used for commenting, 10k followed accounts and 1k followers, how come my comments are shadow banned since March?. How do i remove that?. I messaged TIKTOK support, but till the same template response

A year-old TikTok account can get comment-shadowbanned for repetitive commenting patterns or using flagged keywords; to remove it, stop all commenting for 7-10 days, then gradually resume with varied, genuine interactions, as only consistent organic activity can reset the automated spam filter.

Maybe you said something inappropriate or placed too many comments.

hmm frequent or repetitive comments likely triggered it. Pause activity engage normally and it should lift in 1 , 2 weeks.

That usually happens when an account is flagged by TikTok’s system, especially if it’s mainly used for commenting or mass-following. Even old accounts can get shadowbanned if the algorithm thinks the behavior looks spammy. Sometimes it lifts on its own, but sometimes it doesn’t without the right steps. If you’re still stuck after support replies, I can help you look into it and guide you on how to fix or appeal it properly

Yes please, how do i do that?. I need the shadow ban removed

It's possible that you were operating too frequently, causing the system to misinterpret your actions.

A one-year-old comment-focused account is likely flagged as spam-like by TikTok's AI for repetitive behavior; to potentially remove the shadowban, stop all commenting for 7 days, then gradually resume by posting a few original videos to reset your account's internal reputation score, as support cannot override this automated filter.

In case you mention anything that is against the TOS, TikTok can do that. That being said, you are going to have to make an appeal through the support chat within he app and ask then what got flagged and what you can do to get the account in good standing.

Can you help me?

First: yes, this is a real shadow restriction

What you’re describing matches a comment-level trust penalty, not a full account ban.

Key signals:

  • Account >1 year old
  • Mostly used for commenting, not posting
  • Following 10k accounts (this is a big red flag)
  • Comments not visible to others (or only sometimes)
  • Started suddenly (March)
  • Support gives generic replies

This is normal TikTok behavior, not a bug.

Why your comments are shadow-banned (most likely causes)

1️⃣ “Comment-only” accounts are low-trust

TikTok’s AI strongly favors:

  • Creators
  • Viewers who post
  • Balanced engagement

Accounts that:

  • Comment a lot
  • Rarely post
  • Follow many accounts

…are treated as spam-prone, even if comments are harmless.

This alone can trigger long-term comment suppression.

2️⃣ 10,000 follows = spam pattern

TikTok considers:

  • Rapid following
  • Very high follow-to-follower ratio

as growth manipulation behavior, even if you didn’t automate.

Many users get comment-limited around:

  • 5k–7k following
  • especially if done quickly

3️⃣ Comment frequency / repetition

Even normal comments can trigger suppression if:

  • You comment too often in short bursts
  • Similar wording is reused
  • Emojis / links / mentions are frequent

TikTok’s NLP models track semantic similarity, not just exact text.

4️⃣ One comment flagged → account trust score drops

It only takes:

  • A few reports
  • Or auto-flagged keywords (even innocent ones)

Once your comment trust score drops:

  • The restriction can last months
  • Support will NOT manually lift it

Important truth (no one tells you this)

TikTok does not “remove” comment shadow bans on request.
They expire only if trust is rebuilt — or the account is abandoned.

Support replies are templates because:

  • They can’t override AI trust flags
  • There is no “appeal” button internally

What actually works (real recovery methods)

✅ Option 1: Rebuild trust (slow, partial recovery)

If you want to save the account:

For 30–45 days:

  • STOP mass commenting
  • Comment max 3–5 times/day
  • No emojis
  • No links
  • No mentions
  • Short, neutral comments

Example:

“Interesting perspective.”
“Thanks for explaining this.”

Also:

  • Post 2–3 original videos per week
    • They can be simple slides, repost-style, or talking videos
  • Like videos before commenting
  • Reduce following activity (stop following entirely for a while)

Result:

  • Sometimes partial recovery
  • Often incomplete
  • Takes time

✅ Option 2: Hard reset (most effective)

This is what experienced TikTok users actually do.

Steps:

  1. Stop using the account completely (30–60 days)
  2. No login, no actions
  3. After cooldown:
    • Log back in
    • Post content first
    • Comment lightly

Higher success rate than support tickets

Option 3: Start fresh (most common & fastest)

Honest answer:

  • Many people abandon shadow-banned comment accounts
  • Create a new account with clean behavior

If you do this:

  • Warm the account properly
  • Post before commenting
  • Keep following <1k initially
  • Avoid rapid actions

This avoids months of frustration.

What will NOT work

❌ Messaging support repeatedly
❌ Changing bio / username
❌ VPN switching
❌ Deleting comments
❌ Apology messages to TikTok
❌ “Shadow ban check” tools

These do nothing.

How to confirm you’re still shadowed

  • Comment on a small creator’s video
  • Ask a friend to check from another account
  • If invisible → restriction still active

My honest recommendation

Given:

  • Account used mainly for commenting
  • 10k following
  • Restriction since March (long time)

Recovery is unlikely to be full.

If this account is not emotionally important:

  • Start fresh
  • Apply correct behavior from day one
