There’s a strong rumour Tiktok may launch it, and imagine if it comes no one will even bother about google or chatgpt for me it’s a big news not sure when it’ll come but I wonder will google do something to protect its dominance or it’ll continue to bleed to chatgpt and soon Tiktok

It's banned in some countries, and others will ban it if it launches a search engine.

Gen Z uses tiktok as a search engine. Huge difference, they are not going to start a new search engine. Gen Z is just more used to searching inside the TikTok app instead of using Google.

Sounds like a interesting idea. But im not totally sure how that would play out in the real world. I guess we have to wait and find out.

Tiktoak banned in some of the countries so it will not impact much more that you are worried for.

for all the shit that I give google (and yes, I still wish google to disappear as a monopolistic, brainwashing, censoring company) I will still use google over tiktok, simply because I'm against social media more than I'm against google

I think it will not big impacts like google or chatgpt, already some countries banned Tiktok, so I don't think two much about it.

Yeah, for now it's just searching their videos. Will it stay that way, or will it start crawling the rest of the internet to integrate other forms of search? Hard to know for sure. Google includes tiktoks in results so completely possible it goes the other direction.
