On TikTok, if a user clicks on a WhatsApp link, it will register as a sent message. However, they can log out immediately after opening WhatsApp or leave without sending anything. That means you see a click but nothing is actually sent.

so how to get actual messages? I setup a welcome message so it sends messages to one who landed on whatsapp..still nothing

Sounds like shadowban or poor targeting test with fresh creatives, tweak CTA wording, and split-test audiences. Also, check if your landing page triggers TikTok’s filters, that kills conversions fast.
