TikTok Monetization For Video Uploads

TikTok has a fixed royalty pool quarterly for licensed music publishers. the rights holder is paid a portion of that amount based on the proportion of overall TikTok videos created using compositions and distributes those royalties based on the usage reports TikTok provides.

I'm interested to see if anyone has tried this on a large scale since this method doesn't require videos to get views. so if you were able to blast over 100k videos per day you could make $1000. of course, this isn't as easy as it may look since distributors are known for withholding funds not counting if TikTok refuses to payout those funds. but I would have to assume someone here is already doing this making a killing.

Meta and Snapchat have a similar pay rate to TikTok

So they pay royalties every 4 months?

If I understand you correctly, the method is to be a music publisher, become registered with TikTok so you can collect royalties, and then create a network of people who are just basically creating a massive network of simulated, bot-driven accounts to view content that contains your music.

Did I get that correctly?

If that's what you plan to do, this may work.

But you have to understand that you're playing a cat-and-mouse game with TikTok.

You're not going to just lie down and have people run bot farms and clean them out.

I'm sure there are going to have evolving ways of detecting and punishing people who game the system.

Maybe the better approach would be to actually come up with music that creators would actually want to use.

There are tons of composers on Fiverr that would do this cheaply, or you might even partner with music schools and basically get the stuff for free in exchange for publicity or name recognition for the actual creator.

Whatever the case may be, by maybe dialing down the black hat approach and focusing more on a sustainable business model that assumes a win-win situation, you'd have a more viable business in the long run.
