Have seen lots of people on TikTok live connecting the stream donations to a printer that prints out peoples usernames when the follow/donate. I was wondering if anyone had some insight into how this was done/if there is a software to recreate this?

It's most probably using the API and a simple script.
The hard part is to get access to the API keys needed to stream on TikTok.
 
Should be easy with a Raspberry PI + API. In the PI, setup Ubuntu as usual, and have a cron every 1 min or something. That script watches for what you are looking to. Keep the Pi connected with a printer and do something like this for printing:

most of them are using a software like in tiktokliveprinter.com. ... but what blow my mind that i found someone doing this virtuelly .. it's really look like it's a real printer . . so please if any one know how to do that (virtiual ) do not hesitate to reply my comment enven after couple years
