Soooo,
might not be new to you but recently I got aware of this exact research.
A guy on Reddit reverse engineered TikTok about 2 Months ago and found varius security breaches and how TikTok is spying on you.
It seems like until a few months ago, they used HTTP for an API.

I think its quite funny that this didn´t really blow up on Reddit.
Maybe because it wasn't anything new to the community.
It blew up on Twitter ASAP.

This may be an opportunity to bring awareness to this Problem in the Public and not only for people like us, which are mostly aware of this.

What I´m doing now?

Tell friends which use TikTok why they should stop (I don´t know a lot people which have TikTok installed).
Avoid it or only use it in Jarvee or whatever.

In my opinion this is a quiet diffrent thing.

We can avoid TikTok in our live.

We should try to avoid google too but its way harder, because we rely on google so much.

I think It´s enough that the US has my data. I don´t want to also give it to the Chinese

Who didn't already think Tiktok was a Chinese mass spying tool.. Members of the US government and intelligence were banned from allowing their family from using Tiktok months ago.

You can get rid of Google as well - duckduckgo + brave + protonmail + tools to kill tracking when you do search on Google. Having an actual Google/gmail account with your real name is the easiest way to have a super profile built of who you are and your habits that will be in their servers forever.

I also use DuckDuckGo, firefox with umatrix (script blocker) and my own webmail.
BUT
I can´t dispense GMB, Google Analytics or Google search Console.

The main ones to be concerned about are certainly search and email.

Using GMB, GA and GSC probably provides some information that would be best to keep private, but really the performance of your website(s) vs. your searching habits and having your emails data mined for your personality traits are no competition.

well google is from US it’s allowed to spy on us, and fun fact I never used it and I told people this app is no good, not because it’s from C or privacy reasons just had a bad feeling about it never installed it super happy with my decision

Nops not on my main mobile. I have another china mobile that I use for android development and I had installed it there. I wanted to create bots to game tiktok, but the content was so pathetic that I uninstalled it in a hour.
