TikTok in my domain name

Hello. I have a domain name that includes TikTok. For example: TikTokFollowersBuy.com

I've got an email from lawyers telling me to delete this domain. Should I take any attention to this? Am I breaking the trademark laws?

I used to have whatsapp in a domain name on namecheap and got a letter as well, avoid it in your domain and just put it in a seperate page!
 
Yes you should delete it immediately.
 
I got in touch with the law firm that I got email from and they told me it was not written by them.

Looks like it was written by the competitors

TikTok doesn't give a fuck about your domain. Even if it was written by them, they're not gonna waste money with you. Imagine the amount of people they'd have to go after if they really had a problem with such domains.

This isn't to say that it is a good idea to use domains like this. It's better safe than sorry. Although it's highly unlikely anything would happen to you.

TM infringement is the cause of the vast majority of UDRP's that are filed. Domain investors frown upon those who do this sort of thing and the domain name itself has no value unless you want to sometime sell it to another TM infringer. This looks like an easy UDRP win for the brand if filed.

Unless a registration of a domain was a dictionary word and registered prior to the exploitation of a brand name, (and you want to pay to defend it) you can be a targeted eventually, so why waste time on a domain like that getting ranking only to become a bigger target?

If you win, say in the case of a 3 letter LLL dot com domain which is a generic abbreviation you might get a ruling of reverse domain name hijacking against the brand who attempted to steal your domain. Huge corporations have spent years attempting to get domains away like the story the "Nissan".

As suggested above, don't use the TM name in a domain but within the website. So whatever verbage of your business you can fill all the webpages with your service including the TM name, just put the "TM" symbol next to it just in case. Unless you become a big fish even omitting the "TM" isn't that big deal.
 
You are surely breaking trademark laws. You can get away with it but you will always be in fear of getting caught so why to take unnecessary risk. Better safe than sorry.

they'll sue you to oblivion

tiktok have to do this otherwise they lose their trademark

you need to delete the domain

companies have to defend their trademarks otherwise they lose trademark status

it happened to Hoover, now anyone can call their hoover a Hoover. it's because Hoover never defended their trademark

keep ignoring the law and see how that works out for you
 
My god dear people....when you want to become an entrepreneur , it's important that you have some knowledge, withoput have basic knowledge in trademark, copyright, accounting and most important; calculkation. Without that you doing self suicide.

On this toppic; Never ever use a name who is a trademark (google, facebook, tiktok) or is an registered company as name in your domain !
Their layer will charge you with a hefty sum of money.
I'm not a lawyer but I mean you can sue such names in your wordpress menu as categories like you are an amazon affiliate and promote electronic products, so you can have in your menu; sony review, payoneer reviews, etc, etc....(correct me if I'm wrong here)
