Tiktok Ban in USA, Incoming?

I think if they are passing bills and resolution on such stuff, it will get a ban sooner or later for sure.
 
It wouldn't necessary mean that TikTok would be gone as at this point they're quite huge and younger generation community backlash would be immense. They would rather be bought by a different company, perhaps even the same ByteDance if it would register there however they definetely would be under a lot of scrutiny to meet the security/privacy requirements set by the legislation.
 
The impact will be huge since a lot of younger generations express themselves easily there and make good money too

I read another article suggesting that Facebook is interested in purchasing TikTok if it gets banned. Some people are even suggesting all these bills to ban TikTok are being pushed by Meta specifically so they can buy it for less now that they've lost a chunk of their users. I wouldn't put it past Zuckereberg to do something like this considering the other questionable moves he's made in the past.

That would make sense, not outside the realm of possibility especially how much you hear about lobbying in the US. Haven't heard about that a**hole move of his mentioned in the article but I'm not surprised at all.

It will most likely be sold not banned since thats the main issue.
I think its mostly fair since China also blocks major US Tech companies
 
I kind agree on facebook thing, its almost dead. That robo face mark can do anything .
 
I was just thinking the same. And the bill has been passed. Maybe Elon will buy it.

not yet the bill has been passed to sell TikTok to us or ban they have 6 months

Well if USA is waiting to buy Tiktok I don't believe that will happen and closing that door a loot of people in the USA that had an income with tiktok will rise and get angry all those teenagers with their squeaky voice :D
let's see how this will change the tiktok market and which country will be the new content source this is a bad move from the USA that is what I thing I could be wrong but they are cutting they external income and trying to keep only internal production and closing the country from any external influence, to me that is a sing that somethign beyond bussines is going on but could I be crazy and drunk too much almond milk yesterday :anyway:
 
Strategy - buy 100 phones , install TikTok , sell the phone with TikTok downloaded on Ebay. History will repeat itself. I remember a lot of people were marking up their phones with the original flappy birds game. :D
 
There has been speculation about this for quite a long time, but I can't really imagine a ban.
