As I'm sure many of you have heard, the US government may ban TikTok in January.

Since TikTok is owned by China, the US doesn't want a foreign nation to own a huge media outlet in its country.

How have you all been preparing for this potential ban?

I think my strategy will be to cultivate followings on IG Reels and YT Shorts as I expect these to get massive traffic if TikTok is banned in the US.

Not happening. They must be taking lot of taxes from it in some way and they will direct it to operate the way they want without collecting any data . USA is strict about this.

I think the US will not ban the TikTok platform. Of course they will find a way to manage part of TikTok's data, but they will not ban TikTok. It is a large and fertile platform, a large country like the US will never abandon such a large market.
 
it seems they are going all in to ban it, but that will definitely be bad for them, a lot of tiktokers that make a income from the platform without a job and start from scratch on instagram or facebook won't be too easy that transition, people will go mad, they will come with some type of new restrictions or limited usage but the platform would still be inig used.
 
Interesting. It looks like an outright ban may be unlikely then.
 
TikTok without USA will be still one of the most traffic/able platform.
We have whole Europe with 750 mln people, we have Asia, Africa.
USA little forget, they are not the center of the world any more.
 
The rate of banning a platform like TikTok in the United States is possible but only about 50% because TikTok is a very strong growing platform so they will find a way to block some information about their Country because TikTok is a platform that can help a citizen or a housewife at home earn extra income through this platform from zero.
 
They have been talking about banning TikTok, but I don't think it's possible
 
It is impossible for the United States to ban TikTok because they collect a lot of tax revenue from TikTok every year.
 
This topic seemed to be very hot before, seemingly due to concerns about data privacy and national security, but I think it is just groundless.
