I use some apps as visual / image search engines. Much better than Google.
Yeah, definitely growth in tiktok as a search engine. This is not new, people under 40 have been using social media to find information for more than a decade. As the younger generation relates to the internet primarily through their phone and apps, the less they will search for information using traditional search engines like google. If you hunt around in tiktok, you can find several search functions exist. They're also starting to interject quora answers into tiktok search results.
If you're only thinking about seo as ranking in google serps, you're potentially missing a large volume of overall searches in a market where very few people are thinking about seo practices.

Lmao tiktok is pushing the search function but i really wonder if it works or not. Technically, users go to tiktok to watch some interesting creatives and even if they search smth, they will click on random creatives that seem eye-catching, not because the keywords showed

It's a flexible platform with many ways to monetize it. In my opinion, Tik Tok's potential has surpassed Facebook or YouTube.
