Hello,

I am looking at creating a TikTok account (potentially multiple). I want to post clips of existing content on the internet - podcasts, stream clips, etc.

How does copywrite law play into this and do TikTok ban accounts for this? Any detailed insight in to this would be great

I see a lot of reposted clips where half of the screen is a video game playing and the other half is the actual clip they’re reposting. Does this mitigate against copywrite?

Search the forum for keywords such as

‘repurpose, repost, ffmpeg, tiktok metadata, tiktok podcast, tiktok script’

You will find the answer pretty quickly.

In short:

There is an almost 0% chance you will get into any legal trouble by reposting content.

You will get shadowbanned often unless you use one of many available methods to repurpose the video to bypass the algorithm detection

There is no copyright violation as long as you refer your source.
