For those who aren't aware, TikTok has launched paid ads on the platform.

I know quite a few people have applied but not been accepted (its a manual review and onboarding process) so I thought I would share some of the documents from the pack I was sent when I became an advertiser.

The first gives some interesting stats about the platform and shows what format ads take on the platform (I personally haven't seen any yet)

Thanks man. Yes it seems quite manual acceptance and super random to get accepted. I guess that as it's not automated they basically have too much demand compare to what they can handle.
 
Nice! Tik Tok has a huge userbase in my country. So this should be good :)

The TikTok ad platform is quite 'intense'. I got accepted within 24 hours and was assigned a personal account manager that I have the direct phone number for. it seems to be pretty difficult to be accepted but you get access to a gold mine of information about the app and the algorithm.

Oh wow - TikTok is making some serious moves...
Very interesting - So they pretty much make sure if your website is legit or not there is no way around it as they check it manually.
Maybe a "get paid to" website would work well - but I'm sure you have to provide a ton of personal information.

Hmm... Really good thread opened my mind to TikTok ads - first on board makes the most $$$ im sure.
 
I've spent the last few days interrogating my account manager about the algorithm and will share here soon as I've found some gems. In terms of ads, I've heard they are pretty expensive (not like IG story ads :[) but will check tomorrow. If cheap, it could be worth bombarding loads of users with ads targeted towards your profile to get followers quickly. Lots of similar methods being used on IG.

I think you would struggle to get anything that looks 'spammy' onto the platform. They are really trying to keep their advertising exclusive, high-end and high-impact. I guess we'll see.

Heck this is why hanging around this forum is so important, thanks for the heads-up and all the material you shared, I have been following TikTok's growth for a while now and I definitely see a lot of potential for paid ads campaigns.

Thank you so much. I'm going to try and share all the information I have access to. If there is any info about TikTok anyone wants specifically, I can try and get it via varying source.

They can afford to, right now. But once they grow it may change.
 
Always being in tik tok, but never noticed this. Useful share mate
 
I got approved a month ago, but last time I checked you have to launch campaigns manually, they sent me a file where I had to type my targeting, budget & all the details of the audience I wanted to target. It was a mess lol I didn’t even got back to them, thanks for letting us know they update their system & they’re officially launched the ads platform. I’ll check again & report with you guy later.

why would a "get paid to" website work well?
 
I don't get this. If you have a TikTok account. You can have a ads?
