I'm launching a new product and haven't used TikTok ads before. What's a suitable budget?

Start with a small daily budget like 10 to 20 just to test and see what works before scaling

If you start testing with a small budget of 5 to 10 during the testing period, and then observe the data, you can increase the budget when you find the right audience, but do so in small, step-by-step increments.

i have been doing tiktok ads since years now. so i can help )) what products are you promoting ?

Really impossible to say without more details, I've had good results with $20 a day but that was for a very mall project

Will a low budget lead to insufficient population coverage?

I've set up audience reach and interest targeting. I'm unsure what budget is needed for good results, so I'm starting with $10. I need to observe for a few days to determine the best approach.

When it comes to setting a budget for TikTok ads, there are several factors to consider.

Here are some general guidelines:

  1. Minimum Budget: The minimum budget required to run a TikTok ad campaign is $5 per day. This will get you started with basic ad targeting and optimization options.
  2. Recommended Budget: For more advanced features like dynamic ad targeting, retargeting, and video ad formats, consider a daily budget of at least 20−20−50.
  3. Average Cost Per Click (CPC): On TikTok, the average CPC is around 0.02−0.02−0.10 per click. This means that if you're targeting a relatively broad audience, your ad spend might be around 1−1−5 per 100 clicks.
For a new product launch, I'd recommend starting with a modest budget of:

  • Daily budget: $25
  • Total budget: $500 (for a 20-day campaign)
This will give you enough room to experiment with different ad creative assets and targeting strategies. You can always scale up or down based on your results.

Start small with $20–$50/day per ad set to test creatives and audiences. Scale gradually once you identify top-performing ads.

If you're planning to run the TikTok Ads, check Aaron Grant's channel; it might save you some money.

It all depends on your location, what you sell, and your product range. If you're a local store, it would make sense to advertise for $100-$200 in your area and gradually scale.
