Have read a lot of articles about Tier 1 PBN's, but need some clarification.

I understand that the content on my Tier 1 needs to be nearly as good as my money site. HOWEVER, how much content do I need on those blogs? Are 3 or 4 posts sufficient?

How much - and how often - should I post new content on those blogs, if ever? Just post x # of posts & leave the site, or treat it like a mini money site and post new content once a ??? week, month, year???

It doesn't have to be nearly as good as the content on your money site. Use unique and hand written content, but the quality doesn't have to be amazing, otherwise you will be wasting money.
I like to add around 5 - 6 articles straight away and then I schedule around a dozen articles over a year, so once a month. It's basically set and forget.

Do all your articles have backlinks to your site or do you sell a few to create variety?

Why would someone with his mind straight link almost 20 times from each article to the money site? That's a brutal no-no. And why do you even feel a need to rank anywhere from those articles? You want low OBL (outbound links), not linking everywhere like posessed and diminishing the power of your PBN site. And selling links on MY private PBN? Hah, not in a 1000 years.

So you might have 1/2 links to your money site and the rest will just be content?

ONE link to my money site. Just ONE.

No, there could be a link or two to authority sites as well. Not my direct competitors ofc.

Exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!

About monetizing PBNs. I met people who do that. If your PBN looks good and you are targeting long tail keywords like @Sristy does for example, then it might have a good potential.

Thanks for the tips, I will try to implement this.

I'd like to add that what is important, rather than the quality, is the semantic you use in the article you will link your MS from. This one may have to be quality enough so google understand the correlation between your article and the keyword you're trying to rank.

Use unique contents without mistakes and do drip feed for contents(at least one content per week)
